First thing you should know about Assassin's Creed series is that it is science fiction. You would not know that judging from all the trailers and marketing materials flaunt medieval landscapes and primitive weapons. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the third game in the series and is a direct sequel to the first two titles.
The setting is 2012 and you play a regular Joe, Desmond Miles, who is forced by the evil Abstergo Corporation to relive the memories of one of Desmond ancestors, Ezio Audi Tore da Firenze, who lived in 15th century Italy. This is how you end up spending most of the game bask in the Roman Renaissance, while murder people and avoiding the guards pope.
There is a point to the genetic regression Desmond is forced to endure. The back-drop for the plot is a battle between the historical orders of the Templars and the Assassins, who are excited centuries. The fate of the world lies in the balance. The world will end in 2012, the Templars have their way.
The Abstergo Corporation is a 21st Century front of Templar, and probing Desmond genetic memory of the whereabouts of relics that can save the world or destroy it. You do not actually treat this epic sweep through most of the Brother-hood. Your job as Ezio is to build your own Assassin fraternity by recruiting disaffected citizens. This allows you to call for help in murders, and your recruits to steer on independent missions.
Brotherhood is the first Assassin's Creed game online multiplayer mode, which allows players or play against each other. Previous two games, you can use a variety of weapons to kill people while jumping over Rome with park our-like freedom. There are several different character types to play, the most fun of them hairdresser, with his deadly shaving blade. The fight is intuitive and the freedom of movement and exploration makes the game impressive.
